FLORIDA WINTER TOUR ROUND TWO ACTION UP NEXT FOR DORE CHAPONICK JR.

Miami karter returns to International Competition this weekend in West Palm Beach

Miami, FL – Dore Chaponick Jr. returns to action this weekend as he travels to Jupiter, Florida, home of the Palm Beach International Raceway (PBIR) and the next two rounds of the 2011 Formula Kart Productions Florida Winter Tour. Competing in both weekends of this years Tour, Dore will compete aboard his familiar DFR Racing Alonso Kart powered by a Supertune Parilla in the TaG Junior category. After scoring two victories in Orlando, he will look to continue this strong momentum at PBIR this weekend.

"I'm very excited to get to Palm Beach and race this weekend," commented Chaponick Jr. from his Miami home. "The track is very fast and I hear they made a few adjustments to the curbing, so the racing should be very close this weekend."

During the opening rounds of the Florida Winter Tour, young Dore scored a mixed bag of results in the TaG Junior class in Orlando. Having the speed to race up front, his was plagued with issues and accidents that forced him down the order in the final results. Looking to rebound this weekend, Dore has the 'FWT Doin the Double' in his sights.

The following weekend Dore had the breakout weekend he has been so close to in the past. Dominating the stellar 68-kart Rotax Junior class, Chaponick Jr. delivered two convincing victories to leave Orlando with the overall points lead.

"The first weekend in Orlando we ran into a lot of trouble," continued Chaponick Jr. "But the Rotax weekend was amazing. To score two victories was unbelievable. Of course, I have to thank my tuner Mike, DFR Racing, as well as my parents for all their support."

Chaponick Jr. will be on track all week in preparations for this weekend’s race at Palm Beach International Raceway. Official practice begins Friday, with a complete race day to run on both Saturday and Sunday. The events will be broadcasted on the Florida Winter Tour website for those who want to cheer Dore Jr. on from home.
